“The crew of the aircraft is safe,” said IAF officials. The officials, while speaking on the matter, added, “the aircraft is being recovered from the site.”

IAF officials stated that the pilot ejected from the plane and was unharmed. The pilot of the aircraft is said to have taken off from the ambala airforce base during a routine evening sortie.

Officials stated that the aircraft malfunctioned mid-flight, leading to the crash. The IAF has instituted a Court of Inquiry to ascertain the reasons behind the mishap. As per statements from the IAF, the pilot managed to steer the aircraft clear of populated locations prior to ejection.

The `IAF’ states that, “A Jaguar aircraft of the IAF crashed at Ambala, during a routine training sortie today, after encountering a system malfunction. The pilot maneuvered the aircraft away from any habitation on the ground, before ejecting safely. An inquiry has been ordered by the IAF, to ascertain the cause of the accident,” The IAF posted on X.”
